MEDFIELD — Zoning Board advances 40B affordable housing hearing; schedules June site visit and closing session. The Board continued its review of Rosebay at Medfield Limited Partnership's 45-unit age-restricted rental project at 30 Pound Street during its fourth hearing on April 16, with applicant representatives Brian McMillin and Daniel Merrikin walking through revisions addressing Fire, DPW, School Department, and neighbor concerns. Key changes include removal of a rear stormwater basin in favor of underground infiltration, repositioning of a walking path and tot lot, installation of a designated smoking area, and a chain-link fire gate at the rear property line.
The Board voted unanimously to schedule a site visit for June 1, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., and to continue the hearing for June 3, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. The applicant agreed to extend the 180-day closing deadline to June 30, 2026, and committed to submitting revised plans by April 24 for peer review by Tetra Tech.
