MEDFIELD — Zoning Board approves 32 Farm Street pool variance with stormwater safeguards. Chair John J. McNicholas, Associate Members Kristine Barton and Jared Spinelli voted unanimously to grant a special permit allowing a 29.2-foot rear yard setback where 50 feet is required, contingent on conditions including a six-foot fence continuation, arborvitae screening, dark sky compliant lighting, soil sampling, and installation of underground leaching basins and berm expansion.
Peer-reviewed engineering showed the revised stormwater design will reduce peak runoff by approximately 87 percent in a ten-year storm event compared to existing conditions, addressing longstanding drainage complaints from abutting property owners Ronald and Tina Cosentino.
