Zoning Board Approves Garage and Fence Variances, Plunge Pool Permit
Medfield Zoning Board approved three residential zoning relief applications in one evening.
Zoning Board of Appeals · Meeting of September 16, 2026
Medfield Zoning Board approved three residential zoning relief applications in one evening. Chair John J. McNicholas, Member William McNiff, and Associate Member Jared Gustafson voted unanimously on each: a four-foot setback variance for a two-car garage at 9 Charlesdale Road, an eight-foot fence variance at 29 Brastow Drive to screen Route 27, and a special permit for a plunge pool with a thirty-one-foot rear setback at 54 Harding Street.
All three votes were 3-0. The board applied the recently amended state variance statute, which uses a practical difficulty standard instead of the former substantial hardship test.
