Medfield Warrant Committee approves new dog control program with resident licensing fee increase. The committee voted 6-2-0 to support Article 39, which would authorize the Select Board to establish off-leash areas and oversee professional dog walkers through a "Green Dog" medallion program similar to those in Brookline and Newton. Resident dog licensing fees would likely rise from $10 to $20, while out-of-town professional walkers could generate between $75,000 and $125,000 annually to fund program expenses and signage.
The committee also unanimously approved the FY2027 Water and Sewer Enterprise Fund budget of $6,489,416.
