MEDFIELD — Warrant Committee approves prior minutes and hears town budget plans under 1.3 percent cap. Town Administrator Kristine Trierweiler outlined extensive reductions including closure of Council on Aging Saturday programming and Library Sunday hours, elimination of an HR generalist position, and end of on-call animal control coverage outside business hours, to achieve the $186,686 increase limit. Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School officials reported Medfield's estimated FY2027 assessment at $439,051, up roughly $230,000 from the prior year, with the district applying a $1,315,475 excess credit against debt assessments.
Committee members expressed concern over sustainability into FY2028 and indicated they will not reach consensus on an operating override amount until receiving School budget detail.
