Transfer Station and Recycling Committee · Meeting of February 2, 2026

MEDFIELD — Transfer Station and Recycling Committee approves $2,900 in three spending measures. Co-chairs Lily Fayerweather and Kimberly Schubert led unanimous votes on $400 for a foam collection truck on April 11th, $500 toward a Mass Recycle Conference attendance for two to three members, and up to $2,000 for a new SWAP tent. The committee reviewed progress on RDP grant prequalification, including adoption of an Environmentally Preferable Products Procurement Policy by June and strategies to increase point scores through expanded CHARM items and educational activities.

Transfer Station sticker adoption stands at approximately 73 percent of households; the most recent textile collection in January brought in 4,000 pounds and $240 in revenue.
