Select Board approves $104,000 contract for Medfield State Hospital project oversight.

Select Board · Meeting of February 3, 2026

MEDFIELD — Select Board backs $104,000 owner's representative contract for State Hospital infrastructure phase. Chair Gus Murby, Member Eileen Murphy, and Member Osler Peterson unanimously approved the Weston and Sampson engagement and declared a snow emergency permitting deficit spending. The Board also reopened and closed the 2026 Annual Town Meeting warrant, adding two articles: a fee-based dog medallion program for town property and $100,000 in overlay surplus to address snow costs and general revenue.

Separately, the Board deferred final prioritization of FY27 budget cuts and potential program restorations, with Town Administrator Kristine Trierweiler noting an additional $79,867 in budget flexibility could reduce proposed reductions pending Warrant Committee review.
