MEDFIELD — School Committee honors 2026 retirees and approves community gifts. The Medfield School Committee unanimously approved the consent agenda, including donations totaling $45,225 to support reading programs, student behavior initiatives, and inclusive school cultures across district schools. Superintendent Dr.
Jeffrey Marsden presented plaques to nine retiring educators representing 285 combined years of service. SEPAC President Kelly Behbehani announced 14 recipients of the Jim James Inclusion Award and reported the special education parent advisory council grew to 182 families, with programming including anxiety workshops and presentations on dyslexia and autism. The Committee advanced Policy JKAA on physical restraint and seclusion to first reading and heard that projected state Chapter 70 aid now exceeds original estimates, with the state budget expected to finalize by July 1.
