MEDFIELD — Planning Board advances Mixed-Use Overlay District zoning toward March public hearing. At its January 20 meeting, the Board directed Director of Land Use Maria De La Fuente and consultant Ted Brovitz to finalize the downtown zoning draft by mid-February to meet legal advertisement deadlines for a mid-March public hearing. The Board removed 75-page design guidelines from the draft, directing that design guidance be adopted separately through Planning Board rules, and refined the map by adding First Baptist Church property and Miller Street parcels while excluding Montrose and holding Brook Street pending resident feedback.
The revisions focus downtown development through the special permit process.
