Planning Board · Meeting of March 23, 2026

MEDFIELD — Planning Board advances Chase Bank site plan to April hearing. The Medfield Planning Board continued its review of a proposed Chase Bank at Shaw's Plaza to April 14, allowing staff to evaluate revisions addressing fire truck maneuverability concerns. Property manager Kevin Vargas presented a snow management plan targeting 70 percent parking availability, with off-site removal automatically triggered when that threshold is reached. Public commenter Jeff Hyman raised concerns about winter parking loss and property values; attorney Ted Cannon cited Medfield's last bank robbery occurring 15 years ago in 2011 and research indicating proximity to retail amenities increases property values.
