Medfield Select Board reorganizes and backs $1.9M override. Osler Peterson was elected Chair and Eileen Murphy as Clerk. The three-member board unanimously approved fiscal year 2027 warrant articles including a non-override operating budget, an override stabilization fund, and a contingent override budget estimated to cost approximately $878 per household annually.
Warrant Committee Chair Stephen Callahan said the override targets a structural deficit driven by rising health insurance costs and is designed to bridge the town to fiscal year 2029. The board also unanimously supported a $1,008,800 Congressionally Directed Spending request for wastewater treatment facility engineering design, with a $252,200 town match.
