MEDFIELD CCA COMMITTEE ACCEPTS PLAN UPDATES FOR 2027 CONTRACT

Community Choice Aggregation Committee · Meeting of February 20, 2026

MEDFIELD — Community Choice Aggregation Committee updates municipal energy plan for state compliance and 2027 contract negotiations. The committee accepted a modest increase in Good Energy consulting fees from $0.001 to $0.00125 per kilowatt-hour, translating to approximately $1.50 annually for typical customers, and verbally reaffirmed existing program objectives focused on renewable energy promotion at competitive prices. Good Energy representatives recommended maintaining the current Medfield Standard plan despite federal policy changes creating concerns about renewable energy credit market supply.

The updated plan will enter public review in late March or early April, with contract bidding scheduled for May or June.
