Council on Aging approves minutes; garage project nears framing phase

Medfield Council on Aging approves January minutes, reports strong activity in aging services. The board unanimously accepted prior minutes at its February 4 meeting with Chairman Robert Heald and members Rose Thibault, Annette Wells, and Richard Ryder present (Patricia Byrne absent). Director Sarah Hanifan reported January activity: 1,686 events served 1,883 participants with average daily attendance of 70; 24 volunteers logged 190 hours.
Seventy-seven tax preparation appointments are now at capacity. Facilities Manager Ben Jachowicz reported that framing on the garage building project is scheduled to begin within the next week, pending decision on exterior color.
