MEDFIELD — The Medfield Capital Budget Committee reviewed FY2028 requests and major infrastructure borrowing plans on September 25. Assistant Town Administrator Brittney Franklin presented a $70,000 Chenery Hall renovation proposal to improve meeting configurations and hybrid functionality after a $20,000 state technology earmark reduced the total project cost from $90,000. Director of Public Works Maurice Goulet identified a $101,000 solid waste trailer replacement as the highest DPW priority, with additional requests for vehicle replacements and line-painting equipment.

The committee discussed a planned $24.1 million FY2029 borrowing for water and wastewater infrastructure, including approximately $15.4 million for wastewater plant improvements, with staff estimating additional maintenance would raise rates by approximately 1 to 2 percent.
