MEDFIELD — Board of Water and Sewerage hears rate analysis, infrastructure outlook. Capital Strategic Solutions presented findings that current water rates are insufficient for long-term financial stability, recommending annual increases of 7 to 8 percent. The firm's water audit identified 98 million gallons of non-revenue water annually, representing approximately $170,000 in financial impact.

Long-term infrastructure needs are estimated at $34 million to $35 million over five to six years, with the Board directing staff to prioritize water main replacement projects. The Munis billing portal project, budgeted at $49,400, is on track for late summer or early fall 2026 implementation. The Board denied a customer billing appeal from 27 Brook Street after investigation found no evidence of leaks or meter malfunction.
